Buffalo Quinoa Burger
Try a crunchy, spicy quinoa burger with all the mouthwatering flavors of Buffalo wings, but in a backyard barbecue-worthy vegan package. Serve with plenty of extra hot sauce and blue cheese dressing, and pass celery stalks on the side to soothe the delicious burn.
what you’ll need:
1 romaine heart, chopped
1 cucumber, halved lengthwise and sliced into half moons
2 celery stalks, chopped
¼ cup Buffalo-style hot sauce
¼ cup vegan blue cheese or caesar dressing (such as Follow Your HeartⓇ), plus more for serving
1 package TofurkyⓇ White Quinoa Veggie Burgers
1 tablespoon olive oil
3 onion hamburger buns, toasted
⅓ cup vegan cheese crumbles
how to make:
- In a medium bowl toss together romaine, cucumber, celery, hot sauce, and dressing. Set aside.
- Prepare a hot grill fire or heat a skillet over medium heat. Brush burgers with oil and grill or cook, flipping once, until browned on both sides.
- Place burgers on buns and top with romaine salad, cheese crumbles, and blue cheese dressing.
